Flynn’s 1st Birthday Circus.
Daniella styled this super fun and super creative circus party for her son Flynn as told by Daniella
‘I’ve spent the last 9 months ( more like 26 years) planning my first child first birthday party. I decided on the circus theme after wanting a circus style party of my own for a few years now. ( apparently some adults don’t share the same love i do for face painting and fairy floss haha) Flynn started the morning by getting dressed in the most adorable ringmaster costume EVER and driving his great grandmother crazy exploring her house while the party was set up.
My husband and i spent countless hours in the months before the party making a bespoke lion cage circus themed table with LED lighting up the plush lion and matching red & blue stall to hold all the yummy food. With the help of my beautiful friends and family i set up 3 game stalls for the kids to win tickets to claim prizes, the ball toss was a obvious favourite with kids and adults throwing as hard as they can to knock the cans down.
I had set up a colouring and playdoh table for creative kids to enjoy. For the little tots a secure playpen with colourful slide, a few hundred mini rainbow balls and super cute mini circus tent was a huge success. Everybody though the big hit was the carnival chick Laura from Kids Entertainment Sydney with stunning face paint designs a cool balloon twisting. Shel was so helpful with the games and pass the parcel i had set up. Both the kids and adults loved the popcorn boxes and fairy floss sticks being served by Sezy’s funtastic balloon network they stayed during the whole party making sure everyone got some yummy circus food. Anthony and Steph from Intrinsic designs helped capture the day beautifully with the amazing photos.
I enjoyed making classic kids party food including fairy floss, rainbow jelly, blue and yellow candy coated oreos, sprinkle covered marshmallow sticks and clown cupcakes myself. The parents loved the naughty Krispy Kreme tower full of classic donuts!
The party was a huge success with kids and parents hyped up on fairy floss and sugar at the end of the party. My son Flynn has beautiful photos to look back on one day.
